The DMK, a key constituent of the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA), on Friday categorically ruled out withdrawing support to the Manmohan Singh government.
“We have upheld and will continue to uphold the coalition dharma and unless there are very serious ideological differences we will not leave the UPA coalition,” DMK patriarch M Karunanidhi said here late on Friday evening during a brief interaction with mediapersons at his Gopalapuram residence.
Declining to comment on Mamata Banerjee pulling the plug, Karunanidhi said: “As far as the DMK is concerned, it has not quit any alliance either in haste or out of anger.”
