Chandrasekhar Choudhury was nabbed in Berhampur in neighbouring Ganjam district while fleeing after the incident came to the fore.

The Nayagarh district administration is also contemplating action against four other teachers of the school who were allegedly protecting the arrested teacher and attempted to hide his misdeeds. “Preliminary investigation so far has confirmed the teacher’s one hundred per cent involvement in the case.

Action will definitely be taken against all others who had a role in this unfortunate incident”, Nayagarh Deputy Collector Manas Ranjan Devta told Deccan Herald. However, the situation was tense in Nayagarh on Sunday as the parents of the students staged a demonstration and gheraoed the school demanding immediate arrest of the four teachers.

The situation was brought to under control after the local police and the district administration officials reached the spot and convinced the parents that action will be taken against all those involved in the case.

According to students, the computer teacher was slipping into the boys’ hostel at night and was indulging in sex with the students by force.
