A story of grace and devotion

The dance recital Krishnaleelamruta, portraying the three stages of Lord Krishna’s life, was presented by Kalasinchanam Centre at ADA Rangamandira recently. The students, tutored by dancer Yamini Muthanna, were graceful, vibrant and energetic on stage.

The programme began with more than 40 tiny tots presenting an invocatory dance to Ganesha and went on to tell the story of Krishna. The act began with asurs
tormenting the sages.

The three phases of Bhalya Kanda, Yuva Kanda and Yudha Kanda were presented beautifully. The show was marked by some great performances by senior dancers in certain scenes like the Rukmini Kalyana, Rasleela, Draupadi Mana Rakshana etc.
The audience was enthralled as the dancers took them to the Dwapar Yuga. “A lot of dedication and hard work has been put in this show.

The choreography is great and it is unbelievable how these young students are dancing with such confidence on stage. The theme that they have chosen is unique and portraying the entire act requires a lot of practice as well as time and they have definitely done a good job,” said Kaveri, who had come to watch the show.

The parents of those on stage were proud to see their daughters performing with so much grace and confidence. “I don’t think my daughter would have got a bigger platform to showcase her talent. I feel very proud to see her on stage and all the hard work has paid off,” said Vijaylakshmi, whose daughter was one of the dancers.
The seniors students took the performance to a different level. Beautiful expressions, co-ordinated footwork and poise could be seen. Small details like colour co-ordination of the dancers were kept in mind, which made the performance all the more enjoyable.

“I thank all the parents who have helped us in organising this programme and have supported us by bringing their children for the practice sessions. The children have worked very hard and I hope the show is liked by the audience,” said Yamini Muthanna.
