Since he has already spent three and a half years in prison, he approached the court for bail.<br /><br />The State objected to grant him bail. The trial is in its final stages and 17 people were interrogated, said the State’s counsel. <br /><br />“Within 45 days, the trial will be completed and at this stage, bail should not be granted.” It said it apprehended Khader fleeing abroad if he was granted bail.<br /><br /> “Further, he is likely to commit a similar offence again,” the State said.<br /><br />Justice Nagmohan Das dismissed Khader’s petition.</p>
