HDK rules out tie-up with BSY

Last Updated 24 September 2012, 19:03 IST

Former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy has ruled out any truck with former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, he said, “JD(S) entering into a tie-up with Yeddyurappa will be the world’s eighth wonder.

If we enter into any agreement with him, all our agitations against those who looted the wealth of the State will go waste.”

Describing Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar an escapist, he said Shettar did not come up with concrete solutions to any of the problems dogging the State. The administration has collapsed in the State, he said.

“The State government is mired in corruption and the next government will have to constitute 15 to 20 commissions to probe the corruption indulged in by the BJP government.

The people of the State are against the BJP and the Congress. They will support the JD(S) in the next Assembly elections.”

The former chief minister said the State government should announce a package for the development of Naxal-infested areas and seriously take up development works in these areas.

The ceasefire announced by the State government to facilitate the Maoists to surrender was a foolish act as they did not give up arms, the JD(S) State chief said.

The intelligence wing of the State had misguided the chief minister to announce ceasefire in the anti-Naxal operations, he said.
