Affidavit filed
“The Government has filed an affidavit before the Supreme Court, that the project will be implemented as per the original agreement. But in order to do a favour to the company, the BJP Government is issuing the sale deed to for over 20,193 acres of land acquired from farmers,” he alleged.
Except for land required for construction of toll roads, NICE should return the rest of the land (around 14,255 acres) to the Government after developing it. If the Government issues the sale deed, NICE can sell off this land or use it for any commercial purposes. The draft sale deed allows both residential and commercial activities on this land, he charged.
“The BMIC is the biggest scam ever in the country. The State Government must call an exclusive Legislature session to discuss it, or the JD(S) will launch a State-wide agitation from October 15,” Gowda said.
