Ritu, who has been in commanding form throughout the competition, thumped third-seeded Gunaganti Urmila 9-3 in the girls’ under-16 final after rains played havoc with the schedule. The KIMS’ trainee then rounded off an impressive day with a 9-1 demolition of Sweatha Samuel to claim the under-14 crown.

While Ritu didn't have to break much sweat, Rohan was made to toil hard but the second-seed held his composure to edge out Vishnu P Rajesh 9-8 in the boys’ under-16 final.

Adwaith Patnaik clinched the boys’ under-14 title after outclassing Anthony Savio 9-3.
