A bike rider was killed on the spot when a speeding lorry rammed his vehicle near Kalkere Cross, TC Palya Main Road Monday afternoon.
The dead has been identified as Mohammed Safruddin Ahmed, 40, a civil contractor and a resident of Seshadripuram.
Ahmed was returning home from work when the accident occurred. The lorry driver abandoned the vehicle and fled.
A case has been registered at the KR Puram traffic police station.
