Bhullar fires scintillating eight-under to take two-shot lead at Macau Open

Despite starting off on a poor note, India’s Gaganjeet Bhullar carded a scintillating eight-under 63, which gave him a two-shot lead over Prom Meesawat and Scott Hend, in the first round of the Venetian Macau Open on Thursday. Shiv Kapur and Ajeetesh Sandhu, 70 each, were tied 34th.

Smriti shines

Smriti Mehra played a tidy round of even par-72 with two birdies and two bogeys to join Nalini Singh Siwach (75) at 147 in shared lead at the end of the second round of the Women’s Pro Golf tournament in Gurgaon on Thursday.

Gurbani in lead

In Kolkata, Aditi Ashok str­u­ck back with a fine even-par round of 70, but still rema­i­ned six shots behind the defending champion Gurbani Singh (137) at the end of the second round of the Usha West Bengal Ladies Open Amateur Golf Championship.
