Coastal Karnataka Fishermen Action Committee has appealed to the Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa to increase the quantity of tax free diesel being supplied to fishermen from 75,000 kilo litres a year to 90,000 kilo litres a year. In a memorandum, to CM, General Secretary Vasudeva Bolur said that the number of boats venturing into deep sea fishing was increasing. Hence the consumption of diesel has gone up.
