Ban on movement of vehicles in Sullia

Deputy Commissioner and district Magistrate V Ponnuraj has issued an order in this regard.
The vehicles plying on the State Highway can use the alternative route, i.e, via Paichar, Sonangeri, Duggaladka and Ubaradka-Mittur during the shobhayatra. However, this diversion does not apply to the movement of government vehicles on duty and ambulances.
The idol of Goddess Sharada installed at Sri Chennakeshava Temple premises in Sullia Kasaba village, will be immersed during the wee hours of October 5. This will be preceded by a shobhayatra, in which around 5,000 to 7,000 devotees are expected to take part.
