Madani plea deferred

Madani plea deferred

The State government on Tuesday sought more time from the High Court to file its objections to the bail plea moved by Abdul Nasser Madani, the prime accused in the 2008 Bangalore serial bomb blasts.

Madani, in his bail plea, has claimed that he had already lost vision in his right eye and left eye has only 30 per cent vision.

He has alleged that ever since his arrest and remand in judicial custody he had not been provided proper medical treatment despite directions from the court.

The Supreme Court had rejected Madani's bail plea by directing the State government to provideĀ  medical treatment to Madani in Bangalore.

Earlier, the High Court rejected his bail plea observing that national security is far more important than the liberty of an individual.
