<p> A body of a woman aged around 25 was found in a plastic sack near a dustbin in north-west Delhi’s Wazipur on Thursday morning, police said.<br /><br /></p>.<p>“We received the call around 8:40 am after a ragpicker found a body in a plastic sack lying near the dustbin,” said a senior police officer.<br /><br />She told police that she was picking through garbage near a medical shop at block K in Wazipur when she saw a plastic sack and untied it to find a body inside.<br /><br />She informed local people who then called the police control room.<br /><br />During investigation, police found that there was no injury mark on the body.<br /><br />“Prima facie it seems the victim might be strangled and later dumped near the dustbin,” said P Karunakaran, deputy commissioner of police.<br /><br />Police added that the victim might have been killed two days ago, but dumped late on Wednesday night.<br /><br />The body has been sent to Babu Jagjivan Ram Hospital to preserve it for the next 72 hours, said the officer.<br /><br />A murder case has been registered with Bharat Nagar police station.<br /><br />Police are taking the help of zonal integrated police network and website containing details of missing persons to identify her.<br /><br />Her picture has been sent to various police stations and people living in neighbouring areas are being questioned.<br /><br />“We are also quizzing autorickshaw drivers of the area for any clue in the case. It is first important to identity the victim,” said the officer.<br /></p>
