Voters have given their judgement in favour of secularism to ward off communalism,” opined former deputy chief minister Siddaramaiah.
Speaking to presspersons in Dharmasthala on Saturday, he said “Congress has come out with flying colours, which is an important development. Voters have rejected the false propaganda of the BJP.”
Siddaramaiah said that though the BJP has won more seats in Karnataka, it can not be considered as major victory. “We accept the verdict of voters on Congress. Party leaders have to discuss on polarisation of castes, and defeat of the party. Moreover, Congress did not have the resources which BJP had. Mallikarjuna Kharge is a senior leader and will be a Minister,” he predicted.
