JOIN USThe manager of a ready mix concrete company was robbed of Rs 1.93 lakh cash at knife point near Thalghattapura on Friday evening.
According to police, at around 6 pm, the victim Guru Murthy, a resident of Hosur, left his office in Kumbalgodu with cash and was on his way home on Hosur Road.
As he reached Nice Road, he stopped to answer a call on his mobile phone. While he was talking on the phone, two men on a motorcycle snatched his mobile phone after threatening him with a knife.
When they asked him to hand over the cash, Murthy said he was not carrying any. The miscreants then opened his vehicle’s utility box after snatching Murthy’s keys and fled, police said.
Murthy narrated the incident to the police who visited the spot. Police who are trying obtain CCTV footage of the incident, suspect the hand of someone known to Murthy .
