Beehive on aircraft delays flight

Passengers due to board a Dubai-bound Air India Express at Mangalore International Airport, experienced an unannounced delay after ground crew spotted a beehive on the tail of the aircraft on Friday.

The bees were discovered during the pre-departure flight check. Air India Express authorities delayed the boarding of the aircraft for safety reasons. Officials suspect that the bees built the hive when aircraft was docked in the hangar for over 14 hours.

Cleared

Passengers were allowed to board the flight only after the tail was cleared. The flight, whose intended time of departure was 11.45 am, finally took off at 12.30 pm.
