835 dengue cases reported till now

The number of dengue cases in the city is inching closer to 1,000 mark as 39 fresh cases of the vector-borne disease were reported from across the Capital on Friday.

Over a hundred cases have been reported in the last three days, taking the total number of cases to 835 this season.

On Friday, while 35 cases were reported from areas under the three municipal corporations, three cases were reported from the VVIP New Delhi Municipal Council area. According to the data released by the corporations, one case was reported from Delhi Cantt area.

Two children have so far succumbed to dengue ever since its outbreak in the capital.
Among the three municipal corporations, the South Delhi Municipal Corporation has reported the maximum number of cases at 297, with 16 fresh cases reported on Friday. With eight cases reported from North Delhi on Friday, the total number of cases from North Delhi Municipal Corporation areas has increased to 274.

While 222 cases have so far been reported from East Delhi Municipal Corporation, 16 cases were reported from East Delhi on Friday.

Of the 835 cases, eight cases have originated outside Delhi.
