Bidari meets KPCC chief

Retired police officer Shankar Bidari aroused curiosity in political circles by holding a breakfast meeting with State Congress president G Parameshwara in the City on Wednesday.

Parameshwara met Bidari at the latter’s residence. He presented a flower bouquet to Bidari on his being recently conferred the Basava Shree award by the Murugharajendra Mutt.

When contacted by Deccan Herald, Bidari said that he had no plans to join the Congress or any other political party though he had invites. He said, “I know Parameshwara and his family members for many years as I had worked in Tumkur.

He could not make it to the function where I received the award. Hence, he had come home.” Oncontesting the next elections, Bidari said he could decide about it only after a case he had filed against the State government in the Supreme Court pertaining to his removal as DG and IGP is decided.
