Financial assistance for minorities

The maximum assistance of Rs 1,00,000 carries a subsidy of Rs 5,000 and interest at 7 pc per annum. The seed money for the facility is Rs 20,000 and the balance will be provided in the form of loan. Monetary assistance will also be provided to candidates of religious minorities to pursue engineering, medical, BDS, BCA, TCH and diploma courses.

The quantum of assistance varies on the need. Pecuniary aid will be given for skilled and non-skilled members of minority community to commence petty business and strengthening self-help groups. Application can be obtained from Karnataka Minorities Development Corporation, 363, Chamarajpet, Railway Station road, near Pragati Grameen Bank, Chikkaballapur. The applications will be issued from May 20.
