The CPM has expressed it displeasure over  the report of Supreme Court amicus curiae on Pammanabha Swami temple cases  and said that it is not acceptable as he is too loyal to the Travancore Royal Family which had controlled the temple, the richest one in the country.

Party state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan told media here on Thursday that amicus curiae  Gopal Subramamium, who was former solicitor general,  was trying to hand over the control of the temple  back to the royal family.

“He was appointed to assist the court in finding the truth, but unfortunately he is misguiding it. Rather than the representative of the apex court, he is behaving as a highly loyal servant of the royal family’’ alleged the CPM leader.

Vijayan alleged that in the amicus curiae report he has suggested even the persons whom should be appointed in the key posts in the administration of the temple.

“The temple belongs to the people. The articles needed for its use be kept at the temple.

But how to use the treasure kept at vaults of the temple be decided by an all party meeting, ‘’ said the CPM leader.

Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan said that the report raises doubt of his sense of justice. The report sounds that he is very partial in the issue.

The veteran CPM leader urged the Supreme Court to reject Subramanium’s report.
