Former chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda sarcastically said that there are minor defects in the branded products as well.

The products which have defects will be considered as second hand stocks, while making a reference to KJP President V Dhananjay Kumar.

Speaking to presspersons here on Sunday, he said “Efforts are on to retain Yeddyurappa in the BJP. Anything can happen in the politics. The High Command has directed to set aside minor differences and work unitedly for the progress of the party.

We are ready to overcome minor differences. The BJP is not dependent on an individual. It has never faced any election, by projecting a person. We have faced the election under leadership,” he said.

“The opposition leaders have been day dreaming of the collapse of the BJP government, since the day one. Our government has been functioning well. We have been answering to the allegations through development work. In reality, the opposition party has forgotten its responsibility,” he added.

The BJP government has been rectifying the mistakes in the finance department made by the previous government. It was Siddaramaiah who was responsible for mismanagement in the finance department.

Even when Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar had justified the arrest of journalist Naveen Soorinje, in connection with the homestay attack, Gowda has flayed the attack.

He said “the police should have functioned by understanding the sensitivity of the issue.
However, the police department has made a mistake. Media plays a vital role in bringing out the mistakes made by the legislature, executive and judiciary. Naveen was only performing his duty as a reporter . The arrest is not justifiable act.”
