Two killed in separate accidents

An engineering student and a cinema theatre worker, who were riding bikes without wearing helmets, were killed in separate accidents in Kamakshipalya on Wednesday.

Rakesh, 19, a resident of Laggere, was killed on the spot when he rammed his bike against a parked truck on Sumanahalli Main Road.

Son of an auto driver, he was pursuing a course in engineering at a private college. The accident occurred at around 7.30 pm when he was on his way to tutorials. He lost control while negotiating a curve and rammed the truck parked on the roadside.

He suffered severe head injuries and died later at a hospital, said the police.

In another accident, Rajashekhar, 45, was killed when he fell down while riding a bike at Malagal near Sumanahalli. The accident occurred when he was retuning home after work.
