Workshop on forensic nursing tomorrow

Manipal College of Nursing (Manipal) will be organising a national workshop on Forensic Nursing on November 19, 2012 at the MIT Library Auditorium.

The conference is aimed to sensitise nurses and other health team members about the importance of forensic related issues in their professional practice.

The conference will be inaugurated by Baby Memorial College of Nursing (Kozhikode) Principal Dr Roy K George at 9 am, said Manipal Nursing College Director Dr Anice George.
The inaugural function will be presided over by Registrar of Manipal University  Dr G K Prabhu.

The topics that will come up for discussion are, Advanced contemporary forensic nursing issues, Ethics in forensic practice, Nursing Standards Vs Legal issues, Challenges in Forensic Mental Health Nursing, Litigation in Nursing and Medical Practice: Civil and Criminal implication and a panel discussion on strengthening health care practice in dealing with medico legal clients in various specialties.

The experts for the conference will be Dr Nageshkumar Rao (Manipal), Dr Roy K George (Kozhikode, Kerala), Dr Judith Noronha (Manipal), Dr Vikram Palimar (Manipal), Professor Shirley David (Vellore), Dr Erna Judith Roach (Manipal),  Prasanna O (Bangalore) and Ambarish B (Bangalore).
