The State government has finally appointed retired IAS officer Meera Saxena and retired District and Sessions judge Chandrashekar Gurubasappa Hungund as members of the Karnataka State Human Rights Commission (SHRC).
Governor H R Bhardwaj recently issued a notification in this regard.
However, the post of SHRC chairman continues to be vacant. The post has been vacant since July 25, when S R Nayak retired.
