Portraying cops

Yet-to -be-titled, the film will feature Sudeep in the lead. This is the first time that Sudeep has been approached by Narayan, “Sudeep is a good performer and I am thrilled that he will play the role of a cop in my film. He will play the honest, upright officer who attempts to cleanse the society of the corrupt. He plays tough, yet has a soft corner toward the poor and distressed,” Narayan said.

So how did he hit upon the idea of making a film on the cops? Narayan says he has had bad experiences with the cops and would like to project that in a film. “I am not interested in the personal life of these cops but they must be true to their duties in public sphere,” reasons Narayan and adds, “ordinary people must be able to approach cops fearlessly.”  
The shooting for the film will begin in the second week of
November.
