Delhi, a landmark destination on the global travel map recently hosted an evening for travel and tourism - the 8th Hospitality India and Explore the world annual International Awards 2012.

The awards evening was coupled with a fashion show which showcased some of the finest designs from country’s leading fashion houses including Moda Cocktails and Vinitaaz. The world famous Sidi Goma Theatre Group was at its best while presenting the Afro-Asian tribal dance.

Suneet K Kalra, Managing Director, Hospitality India and Explore the World, said, “We are delighted to enter into 8th year of our partnership to institute these Oscars of Indian travel and tourism. An award not only inspires an individual or institutions but also sets benchmarks for other players in terms of quality, commitments and best practices. Such recognitions also breed competition which result in the best services and re-define the degree of excellence in the industry.”

This year, over 1000 plus people representing the global tourism, travel and hospitality sector witnessed the spectacular awards ceremony which was supported by the Ministry of Tourism.

The fashion show showcased the latest collection by Maharana of India, one of the leading manufacturers of garments, textiles and accessories.
