Ban mining at Marle, Nagarahalli

The farmers convention jointly organised by the Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha and Hasiru Sene at Ambale hobli on Thursday, has demanded a ban on mining at Marle, Nagarahalli and Byatanakallu.

Mining has been affected the residents of these villages, the convention pointed out.
The farmers have decided to place forth their demands before the administration.

Their demands included drinking water facilities from Yagachi dam to drought-hit Ambale hobli, declaring Ambale hobli as drought-hit village and take up relief works and renovation on historical Chennakeshwara, Siddheshwara temples built by the Hoysalas at Marle village .
They also demanded financial assistance to the farmers, proper measures for distributing fertilisers and pesticides and fixing of prices of crops on scientific basis. 

The farmers said the government should waive off the loans borrowed by the farmers from nationalised banks.

Seed bank should be set up to distribute quality seeds among the farmers.

Suvarna Bhoomi scheme should be implemented effectively to benefit all the farmers in the district.
