JOIN USThe District Health and Family Welfare department has scheduled various programmes in the district from December 1 on account of World Aids Day.
Elaborating on the objectives of programme at a press meet here on Thursday, district health and family welfare officer Shyamala Devi said, the department is conducting aids awareness programmes in the district and in order to intensify it, the department has set aim of providing treatment to all infected.
A street play to mark the launch of the programme on December 1 at 10 am on premises of New Bus Stand is organised. Posters about Aids will be stuck to more than 600 buses at the bus stand, she added.
Shyamala Devi said, a rally is organised on December 4 from deputy commissioner’s office and more than 2,000 children of different schools and colleges will take part in the procession along with cultural troupes.
There will be street play and other events for the day. Later one day workshop on topic will be conducted at NDRK College and workshops in association with different organisations at various colleges has been organised from December 1 to 12.
