<p>The High Court of Karnataka has ordered notice to the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA), in a petition by residents of MLA Layout on BEL Road, seeking road connectivity. <br /><br /></p>.<p>The division bench comprising Chief Justice Vikramajit Sen and Justice B V Nagarathna warned the officers of the two civic bodies of contempt action for submitting a false affidavit and has directed the chief engineer of BDA to appear before the court. <br /><br />The petitioners had submitted that a huge apartment cluster had encroached upon the road, depriving them of connectivity. <br /><br />Following the directions by the court in the previous hearing, the BDA had submitted an affidavit stating that it would construct a new road for the benefit of the residents. However, the bench, on finding out that it was a false affidavit, lashed out at the officials.<br /></p>
