JCT upset erratic Mohun Bagan

In a match full of controversies, Penn Ikechkuwu opened the scoring for JCT in the 46th minute with a powerful finish. Without making any mistake, the Nigerian import slammed the ball past Bagan goalkeeper Shilton Paul.

Coach Karim Bencherifa and Mohun Bagan general secretary Anjan Mitra looked dejected from the sidelines as Bagan conceded one more to go 0-2 down in a space of 10 minutes.
JCT’s hat-trick hero Baljit Sahni displaying good attacking skill in beating Bagan’s Rakesh Masih as he surged into the Bagan box and slotted it past a stretched Shilton.
Former Tata Football Academy player Branco Cardozo after receiving a ball by Snehashis Chakraborty fired a long-ranger from about 25 yards to see his shot going into the net as Bagan reduced the margin.

In Pune, Air India defeated Pune FC 1-0 after midfielder Ravinder Singh struck in the 11th minute from a free kick.

Meanwhile Shillong Lajong FC pulled off an upset by defeating Sporting Club de Goa 1-0.
Boithang Haokip scored the solitary goal for Lajong to see them grab all three points.
