JOIN USTroubled actress Lindsay Lohan is said to have resorted to a daily, heavy dose of alcohol to deal with her stress.
She is said to be drinking as much as two litres of vodka a day, sources close to the actress told tmz.com.
Lohan is said to have become so stressed due to her financial situation and an impending probation violation, that she has turned to alcohol for relief.
In the past, the actress has struggled with substance abuse and even has a DUI conviction under her belt. The sources say she often begins drinking first thing in the morning, and continues drinking throughout the day.
Even on Thursdsay, when Lohan got involved in an alleged altercation with a woman at a nightclub in New York, she is said to have guzzled down alcohol all day.
Sources reveal her friends have given up trying to help her because when she is drunk, she tends to get violent.
Her representatives did not comment on the matter.
