Everyday 50,000 chapathis, 5,500 biscuit packets are dispatched

 It has been dispatching one truck load of chapathis, breads, biscuits, medicines and clothe everyday to different parts of North Karnataka.

Harish of Punam Group said: “So far we have prepared five lakh chapathis and sent them to the victims. We began preparing the chapathis on October 4. Everyday we dispatch around 50,000 chapathis, 5,500 biscuit packets, 300 bread bundles, 500 (250 ml each) packets of water and medicine. We have taken permission from the police and district administration. Our people identify a few local leaders and with their help distribute the goods to the needy.”

He said that the group has already covered eight villages in Bijapur and 10 villages in Raichur and Gulbarga districts. The group is planning to cover all the affected districts as long as victims require help. The group had also dispatched one lakh chapathis and other goods to Tsunami affected victims in South India. The group is not collecting money from public in its endeavours, he said. Punam Group is into construction and land development business.
