Veg vendor found dead

A debt-ridden vegetable vendor allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his makeshift shop in vegetables and fruits market near ESI Hospital in Rajajinagar Monday morning.

Srinivas, 35, was a resident of Kurubarahalli. A customer, who came to buy vegetables, found him dead inside the shop, the police said. As usual, Srinivas had left his house early on Monday to buy vegetables for the day. The police suspect that he might have come to the shop and hanged himself.

Srinivas had suffered heavy losses in his business and had borrowed huge loans. This might have forced him to take the extreme step, the police added. The Rajajinagar police have registered a case.
