The Supreme Court order to release water to Tamilnadu is a grave injustice to the state, said JD(S) district president H K Javaregowda, here on Thursday.
He said that the Court should have analysed the condition of both the states, before issuing such an order. But, the order against the interest of the state should not be implemented, he said.
He observed the need for a collective struggle by all the elected representatives against such an order or all of them should collectively resign to convince the Supreme Court, central government and Tamilnadu about the gravity of the situation.
JD(S) leaders K T Manjaiah, Samir Khan and S Dyavegowda were present.
