Prajusha powers to triple jump gold medal

Railways win overall title; Double for Surendra

Surendra SinghPrajusha leapt to 13.41 metres to complete a double, having won the long jump two days back. Railways, with an overall tally of 22 gold, 21 silver and 14 bronze, won the overall team championships. They took away the men’s and women’s titles as well, with 11 and 11 gold medals each.

Distance runners Surendra Singh and Kavita Raut claimed double crowns, adding the 10000M titles to the 5000M gold medals they had won on the opening day. Surender timed 29:19.40 while Kavita clocked 33:57.40.

Services C Hamza won the men’s 1500 easily, in 3:42.87 while Abdul Najeeb Qureshi, who had lost the 100M badly, bounced back to tak ethe 200M in 21.21 seconds.
