Shankarappa, who won the election on JD(S) ticket, hopped over to BJP later. “I am extending the support extremely dejected by the discrimination in allotment of funds. The legislator has agreed to release more funds for development of the ward. He has also promised to provide money from MLA funds as well. Hence I am extending external “issue-based” support to his faction,” he has stated in a press release.
The legislator has also agreed to make me the chairman of standing committee. He is the leader of backward classes and the post of the president is also reserved for the same category.
