<p>Teams of officials from the Income Tax department conducted simultaneous raids on the residence and commercial establishments of Women and Child Development minister, Kalakappa Bandi, here on Friday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The team, comprising about 20 officials, swooped down on the petrol bunk, drug house, timber yard and a prestigious hospital in the town at 11 am. The sleuths searched the commercial establishments said to be owned by the minister and his brother Siddanna Bandi till 7 pm, but were unable to lay their hands on any incriminating evidence.<br /><br />However, it is said some ‘crucial documents’ were seized during the raid on the hospital. <br />Minister Bandi, who confirmed the raids, said the I-T officials have discharged their duty.</p>
