JOIN USR Francis, PSI with Electronic City police station was caught redhanded while taking bribe from an auto driver, and was suspended on Saturday.
Sources said, two autorickshaws were moving on Hosur Road, an autoricksaw was being towed by another on Kudlo -Singasandra Main Road. While switching to service Road, they rammed into a motorcycle, injuring the rider. Both the autos were seized. To release the vehicle, Francis demanded Rs 12,000 from autro drivers and was caught red handed while collecting Rs 9,500 as advance.
Succumbs
A woman from Hoskote, who was assaulted by her husband succumbed at Hosmat Hospital in Bangalore on Friday.
Dhanalakshmi (28) was hit on her neck and hands with a matchet by her husband Gopinath (38) of Lakkasandra suspecting her fidelity. He has been arrested.
