Last Updated 20 December 2012, 20:19 IST

The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) on Thursday conducted the trial run of its Green Line train, consisting of three cars.

It ran along the Green Line viaduct from Peenya depot towards the Peenya village station. The track is part of the North-South corridor of Reach-3 (the 12.4-km stretch from Sampige Road in Malleswaram to Nagasandra near Peenya) of the Namma Metro.

Once the corridor is ready, passengers can travel on the Metro along this route.

Since June this year, the BMRCL ran several trial runs of individual coaches of the Green Line train on the 1.2-km trial track within the Peenya depot.
