Clear KR Puram of posters, flyers: Siddaiah

Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike Commissioner Siddaiah, who inspected KR Puram constituency on Thursday, directed that posters, flyers, flexes and other promotional materials in the locality be removed in a week.

He directed engineers of various wards, who were present during the inspection, to fine those who indulge in defacing public property.

The commissioner, who took note of bad roads in K R Puram, said Rs 35 crore has been allocated for taking up road repairs and the issue would be raised during the upcoming Council meeting.

During the inspection, the commissioner was suggested to build a skywalk to make crossing the road between K R Puram railway station and ring road easy for people.

While inquiring about collection of taxes in Mahadevpura constituency, he took revenue officials to task over failure to collect taxes from companies such as ITI, HAL etc. Siddaiah also suspended a revenue official Umesh for dereliction of duty.
