<p>Kumble police have arrested three persons in connection with the rape of a 18-year-old girl from Kanyana, on Friday. <br /><br />According to the police, the arrested are Mohammed Kunhi (24), his friends Hussain (26) and Unnais (35). All the arrested are from Uduma Kundolam Para. The police have also sezied the car used for the crime. <br /><br />Police said the main accused Askar knew the girl, who was working as a maid in Mangalore. He had contacted the girl and had asked her to come to Kumble in Kasargod district. <br /><br />Unnais who was working in Gulf had returned to his native last month. The trio had raped the girl and left her in Kumble. <br /><br />As she was looking for help in the bus stand, an auto driver Ganesh from Posthadka offered to help her. As soon as the victim boarded his auto, he contacted his two other friends and the trio raped her again in a secluded place.</p>.<p>The victim was admitted to a hospital by Kumble police after members of public informed them, when they saw her in an unconscious state.<br /><br />Tragic life<br /><br />The girl’s father had deserted her two months ago. Her mother is in Manjeshwara after her second marriage. <br /><br />She was working in an apartment in Falnir for the last five years. <br /><br />It is said that she came in contact with Askar alias Hussain in Mangalore, who in turn <br />reportedly lured her and raped her with the help of his friends on December 24.<br /><br />It may be recalled that the Kumble police had arrested Ganesh on Thursday and with the arrest of three persons on Friday, the police have arrested four persons involved in the crime while three more are still at large.<br /><br />Further investigations are on.<br /><br /></p>
