BMTC's new services for peripheral areas

The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has introduced new bus routes under K-series to provide connectivity to peripheral areas of the City.

BMTC officials said that the Corporation had rolled out 30 services under the series and the operation of these routes had already begun. The K-4 route connects Nrupathunganagar and Jeevan Bima Nagar via Nagarbhavi Circle, Chandra Layout, Attiguppe, MCTC, Corporation Circle, Bangalore Club, Ulsoor, Indiranagar and Thippasandra. The K-5 route connects Mallasandra bus stand and HSR Layout BDA complex via Jalahalli cross, Yeshwantpur TTMC, Malleswaram Circle, AG’s Office, Corporation, Nanjappa Circle, Adugodi, Koramangala and Jakkasandra, he added.

Another official said that the buses under K-6 route would shuttle between Kalyana Nagara bus station and Jambusavari Dinne via Jala Vayuvihar, Lingarajapuram, Frazer Town, Coles Park, Balekundri Circle, MG Statue, Shanthinagar, Ashoka Pillar, Jayanagar bus stand, JP Nagar 15th Cross and Puttenahalli.

Deputy Chief Minister R Ashoka, who also holds the Transport ministry, has said that the new K-series would extend the comfort and ease of BMTC services to far fledged destinations.
