Symbol of hope

“It’s going to be celebration all the way this Deepavali for me and my family. We’re going to have loads of fun minus the crackers and gorge on sweets without any diet. I think we’re grown-ups now and with all the awareness, crackers aren’t exciting anymore. I hope to spend a better part of my time with my one-and-half-year old niece, four-year-old nephew and a new little baby cousin who was born last month. They’re going to be our celebrities this Deepavali. Our home is decked with lamps of all shapes and sizes. These lights symbolise brightness and hope. It’s a sign of bad things perishing to make way for the good.”
