Food ‘N’ Joyy’, a vegetarian eatery located in RT Nagar, is the perfect place to get a quick bite. The menu has enough variety to ensure that every customer finds something to suit his or her palate. One can opt for a dosa, a roll or simply have a glass of juice.
This eatery, which also has chaats, Chinese food and sandwiches, is a busy place. It is frequented by students and professionals alike. The food is reasonably priced and the menu offers a lot of variety.
Owner Prashant Raj says that his customers are mostly North Indians. “We are always open to customising the order — whether it has to do with the spice level of the food or the sugar level in the juice. Any additions requested are also made,” says Prashant.
At ‘Food ‘N’ Joyy’, the dishes are all priced between Rs 10 and Rs 70. Prashant says, “I started this eatery with individual people running their own counters — yet under one banner. That way, I didn’t have to care about labour costs. These people run their own counters and are responsible for the money making.
I take a commission from them.” The sandwich counter at the eatery has a variety of flavours, from the delicious paneer cheese to ‘spice veg’. The other sandwiches that are available are ‘cutlet cheese’, aloo cheese and pudina paneer, as well as cheese burgers. They are all priced at Rs 40.
The dosa counter, which boasts of 99 varieties of the item, has to its credit many regular costumers who crave for the Mysore paneer dosa, palak paneer dosa, cheese baby corn dosa and more. The prices range from Rs 20 for a plain dosa to Rs 65 for a cheese palak gobi dosa.
The chaat counter has all the regulars items, like pani puri, masala samosa and sev puri, all ranging from Rs 10 to Rs 25. They are an all-time favourite with the customers there. And the Bombay roll section has lovely options like paneer roll, schezwan cheese roll, mayonnaise roll and cheese roll. At the Chinese food section, one will find different manchurian and chilli items, as well as rice options like ghee rice, rice with gobi and mushroom rice.
There are also noodles, which can be ordered with paneer or vegetables. As the perfect addition to the meal, there are a variety of wholesome juices like mausambi, watermelon and grape, as well as mango, strawberry and apple milkshakes.
Sharmista K, a software analyst who is a regular here, says, “I absolutely love the different dosas they have. And given the prices, I can never have enough of them.”
