However, the police refused to reveal any more details. Tanveer was a close associate of Koli Fayaz, who was brutally murdered some years ago.
Rowdy sheeter killed
A five member gang attacked two brothers in KP Agrahara on Wednesday night, killing one of them.
Younger brother Regan (27) died on the spot while Joseph (32) is battling for life after the gang attacked them on II Cross, KP Agrahara.
The police said, at around 8.35 pm, the brothers entered the area in a two-wheeler and when they were moving in front of a bakery, the gang attacked them with lethal weapons. Regan was the first casualty, with multiple injuries. He was grounded on the road while Joseph suffered major stab injury. The gang left the scene, thinking that its job was done. However, passersby shifted Joseph to nearby hospital and later took him to Nimhans.
The brothers, residents of KP Agrahara, had earned a lot of enemies and were forced to move out and settle in Sunkadakate. Both are married and have two children each. They were working as recovery and vehicle seizing agents. It is learnt that both are rowdy sheeters and had murder cases in Magadi Road and KP Agrahara police stations.
