RLA College win big

Ram Lal Anand College, Delhi, scored a seven-wicket win over Bhavan’s Vivekananda College, Hyderabad, in the College Premier League T20 cricket tournament organised by Jain University’s Centre for Management Studies here on Monday.

Batting first, Bhavan’s Vivekananda made 135/5 in 18 overs with K Rohit Rayudu 52 (45b) and N Naveen Kumar 31 (30b) being the main run scorers. Tushar Gupta hit 45 off 31 balls and Amanjeet Singh smashed an unbeaten 39 off 18 balls as the Delhi side romped home with 10 balls to spare. Amanjeet was declared man of the match.

Surana College got the better of Vijaya College by 48 runs in the second match of the day. Nirmal S 47 (38b) and Hemath Kumar 46 (34b) were among the runs as Surana College posted 141/3 in 16 overs. Vijaya College could manage only 93/8 in reply. Sujay (2-18) and Dheeraj (2-21) shared the spoils for Surana College.

Meanwhile, Presidency College outplayed Christ University by 43 runs in the final match of the day.

Presidency College: 160/5 in 16 overs (Rajkumar 42, Nischith 37; Abrar Essa 2-25) bt Christ University: 117/4 in 16 overs (Nihal 45, Sajeel 33; Suhel 3-16). Man of the match: Nischith.
