RLAC oust SBMJC to enter final

Delhi’s Ram Lal Anand College beat Sree Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College (SBMJC) by 14 runs to enter the final of the International College Premier League T20 tournament at the JIRS grounds here on Friday.

Ram Lal Anand will take on SRM University (Chennai), who defeated Jain College, Belgaum in the second semifinal, in the title clash on Saturday.

In the first semifinal, Ram Lal Anand posted a fighting total of 152/9 in 20 overs batting first. Tushar top-scored with 39 while KK Yadav chipped in with a handy 35 runs for the visiting team.

Vamsheeder scalped three wickets for 26 runs and Abdul Majid picked 2/24 for SBMJC.
Chasing a tricky 153, SBMJC were bowled out for 138 in 19.5 overs with Vishal Tewari the chief wrecker for Ram Lal Anand claiming 4/17 and Yadav contributing with 2/25. Gaurav Goel (47) and Liyan Khan (31) played crucial knocks to give SBMJC a glimmer of hope but their efforts were not enough to avoid defeat.
