Panchaloha idol found

The idol was found when renovation work was being carried out around the anthill at the temple which is in a dilapidated condition. Totigara Narayanappa was carrying out the renovation work when he found the idol.

Hundreds of villagers from neighbouring villages gathered as soon as the word spread. The villagers also conveyed this to tahsildar and police. Tahsildar Jayamadhava and Nanguli Police station sub-inspector Sanjeevaiah rushed to the spot and inspected the idol.
The official however handed over the idol to villagers when one Gopal, on behalf of the villagers requested Jayamadhava to allow villagers to worship the goddess.
