She was last seen in Sandalwood in Hosa Prema Purana, a movie that raked up a whole lot of controversies. But after that, actress Shraddha Das has not taken up any Kannada films.

So what was the reason behind her absence? “There is no particular reason, I simply haven’t got the right kind of roles post the film. I’m waiting for a good script so that I can work in Sandalwood again,” says Shraddha.

Shraddha, who was recently in the City, as a showstopper for a fashion show, was dressed like a bride. But the actress says that as of now, marriage is not on the cards.

“There is still a long time to go before I get married. I want to concentrate on my career and do good movies right now,” says Shraddha, who is known for roles in movies like ‘Lahore’, Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji, Arya 2 etc.

After a sizzling performance in the Telugu movie Mogudu, the actress is all set to act in another Telugu movie called Rey opposite Sai Dharam Tej (Chiranjeevi’s nephew). She is playing the role of a pop singer and is leaving no stone unturned to ensure she looks the part. “I had to really prepare for the role. I’ve been doing yoga, kick-boxing and following a strict regime,” she adds.

Another movie she is excited about is the 3D film ‘Dracula’, made in Malayalam and English, and directed by Malayalam director Vinayan. It will be released by Universal Pictures. “This will be my first big Hollywood project and I’m very excited about it especially since it’s a 3D film,” she adds.

While she did do two big projects in Bollywood, Shraddha says that she is being selective when it comes to choosing films. “I have always wanted to become an actress but that doesn’t mean I will take up just about anything that comes my way. I want to do movies which are performance-oriented and add value to my career graph,” she sums up.
