Having made his mark in advertisements, dance shows and Bollywood movies, Kiran Janjani is all set to take the next step, which is writing and directing his own movie.
Walking the ramp after a very long time in the City, Kiran says that it was his passion for cinema that made him venture into this.

He says the film will be a mix of Bollywood masala with a Hollywood flavour. “The scripting is still in progress and we are finalising the locations. As of now, we are planning to shoot in Los Angeles as I have been living there for over a year now. I am sure the film will entertain people,” says Kiran, who was earlier seen in movies like ‘Oops’ and ‘My Friend Ganesha’.

Describing himself as a film-maker, Kiran says that he is more of a fun-loving film-maker.
“I love entertainers as they appeal to a huge audience. I cannot see myself making an art movie,” he adds. While he plans to cast himself in the lead, Kiran is also on the look out for Indian actors, who will fit the other roles. “We will hold auditions and cast new faces, but there is still time for that,” says Kiran. However, he adds that this move doesn’t mean he will give up acting in other productions.

Soon, Kiran will be seen in Golmaal Kids and ‘City of Dreams’. “I am always looking forward to doing different kind of roles and I think the audience will be able to see that in these two films as well. Both these projects will soon go on floor and I don’t want to talk about it right now,” he adds.

When it comes to the City, Kiran has come here during his stint with commercials. He is also looking forward to working in Kannada movies. “I don’t think I can carry off the role of a hero here because of my looks. But I think I will make a good villain in a South Indian film. I always wanted to play a villain and who knows, if I grow a French beard, I may just get a role as a villain,” he signs off.
